Compendium Living is a specialist urban renewal and regeneration company focused specifically on working with public partners to create brand new residential neighbourhoods in our towns and cities. They have been working in Derby since 2013 to create the new Castleward area between the city centre and the railway station which, when complete, will be home to more than 2,000 people. Within the development, Compendium Living have created a new tree lined boulevard linking the station and city, and a new square. They have also installed public art influenced by some of the historic industries that operated in the area in the 19th century.
Compendium Living have taken a wider interest in the city and have supported a number of other artistic initiatives including the Weeping Window (poppies) and the FORMAT International Photography Festival.
